
Major General Fitzhugh Lee was active in both the Civil War and Spanish American War. For kicks and giggles, enemy and friendly troops would shoot Lee’s horses out from under him just to see Lee lead charges on foot.

What a way for a noble beast to die. Shot down in the prime of life so that grown men could giggle at the way a tubby general waddles. It would seem like a huge waste if it wasn’t such a hilarious mental image.
