Venus de Milo
Sometime between 130 and 100 BC Alexandros of Antioch sculpted a life-sized statue of a leper who lived just outisde of Antioch. Venus possessed great beauty despite the disease that had taken both of her arms. She was known to streak through Antioch during sporting events and unusually busy days at local markets.
